Curb Appeal
Begin with the exterior of your home, or your curb appeal. Inspect the exterior of your house from the view of a passerby. What do you notice first? What dollar-earning features seem waiting to be noticed?
Understanding this helps us to decide what measures we can take to invite buyers from the street and into your home. If your home's exterior isn't as neat as possible with touched up paint and blooming greenery we'll need to tackle those issues. Refer to the Curb Appeal Checklist and increase your home's final selling price.

Welcome Home
Does your house seem to say, "Hello From Your New Place" to a buyer? Walking-through your house with a critical eye, I'll recommend changes that enhance market appeal.
I'll suggest that you get rid of items that give the illusion of clutter. Surface areas like tables, desks and counters should be free and clear. Brick-a-brack, sentimental items, family photos, and play time works of art should get moved out of sight. We'll simplify the decor of house. Unsightly or messy spaces make your home feel smaller and buyers have a harder time picturing themselves calling your place home.
I know instantly where a room's best characteristics are and how to show them off. I'll note the pieces of furniture that should be rearranged, rooms that need a fresh coat of paint, carpet needing to get changed, fixtures that need polishing, and any other improvement that can easily be made to positively influence the sale.
We'll ensure your house is likable and that it's inviting, staying away from "offensive" or "personalized" hues on the walls and furniture. And if the house is empty, you can consider borrowing furniture. You want your house to look homey as opposed to bare and uninhabited.

Setting the Stage
You'll know when your house is ready to host an Open House, because all of the improvements mesh together to set the stage for what buyers can expect after they close on your house. Brightness is important and we'll open curtains, and add lighting where needed to welcome the buyer. We'll enhance the mood of the house with enjoyable music to listen to while guests look around your home and assure a pleasant aroma flows room-to-room. We'll include cozy-looking blankets, and pillows on your chairs and bedding. We want buyers to feel like your current house has the potential to be. |
